Open Positions

Part-Time Cashier
Status: Part-Time

What We Are Looking For:

Currently we are seeking applicants for a Part-Time Cashier. The successful candidate will be available to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays as needed. The person hired for this position will assist the Front End Manager and team to meet department goals. Applicants should:

  • possess excellent customer service skills.
  • be able to interact in a professional manner with visitors, customers, member-owners, staff, and the public.
  • be able to work well with others in cooperative environment.
  • pay attention to detail; possess good organizational skills and follow through on commitments.
  • possess strong communication and listening skills, both face-to-face and over the phone.
  • work well with minimum supervision.
  • possess money-handling, POS and cash register use skills.

The ideal candidate would have previous experience in retail/grocery store, including experience with customer service and POS systems.

Part-Time Baker
Status: Part-Time

What We Are Looking For:

Currently we are seeking applicants for a part-time baker. This position will prepare a wide range of healthy, attractive baked goods from scratch. This position will also assist the Kitchen Manager and/or Food Service Manager to meet cafe department goals. The successful candidate MUST be available to work 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. including weekends and holidays as necessary. The successful candidate will:

  • possess current ServSafe certification or a willingness to be certified.
  • have demonstrated an ability to work well with others in cooperative environment where teamwork and constant communication are essential.
  • have demonstrated a commitment to superior customer service.
  • have demonstrated an ability to handle multiple demands and difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • possess a willingness and ability to learn and grow to meet the changing requirements of the job.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have a culinary baking degree or minimum two years baking in a commercial kitchen experience. Finally, customer service experience and knowledge of common allergies and/or natural foods are desirable.

Line Cooks
Status: Full Time; Part Time

What We Are Looking For:

Currently we are seeking applicants for one part-time and one full-time line cook in our cafe. The successful candidate will be available to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. The successful candidate should have:

  • previous cooking experience in a restaurant or cafe.
  • ServSafe certification or a willingness to become certified.
  • an ability to interact in a professional manner with visitors, customers, member-owners, staff, and the public.
  • an ability to work well with others in cooperative environment.
  • an ability to pay attention to detail; possess good organizational skills and follow through on commitments.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have customer service experience and knowledge of common allergies and/or natural foods.
